Its sturdy. Its made with metal and hence cannot be broken this easily. Love the feel and utility of this.I ordered this a few months back and finally got around to moving the hanging file folders only to realize that I didn't have the bar for hanging files. I emailed customer support expecting nothing to happen. Much to my surprise, they were fast and made it beyond easy to get a replacement part shipped to me (no charge). They followed up at every step and made sure everything went well afterwards. The cabinet itself is great, but I love it even more knowing the company behind it is great. Couldn't be happier.I like this file cabinet but I forgot my code and I looked everywhere and I cannot find a way to change it; it’s not in the manual either! So annoyingA very attractive and well made productDrawers are a pleasure to open and shutExceptionalI like the fact that this cabinet was extremely well packed in the carton including plastic corner protectors. The assembly instructions, while grammatically incorrect in parts, are relatively clear and easy to follow. The construction of this cabinet is significantly better than the other two units I purchased and had to return. Drawers slide very easily and the whole front of the unit is perfectly aligned when all the drawers are closed. The reason I gave this metal cabinet 4/5 stars for Sturdiness is while apparently manufactured to very high standards, it is still thin metal and could not be compared to the strength and stability of a wood cabinet. Nevertheless, it should last me for quite some time to come.Additionally, the lock came with instructions, unlike my last purchase, and I found it easy to set up even though these instructions, like the assembly instructions, are grammatically incorrect. This must be a popular cabinet because the black version is not available on Amazon or company's website. This off-white color is actually very nice and not too bright or stark. Bottom line, I am very happy with my purchase.Perfect for what I need!It seems secure enough though there is about a 1/4 inch of space when you try to pull out a locked shelf, I suppose that would be enough space to get a crowbar in but idk if a crowbar could indeed pry this thing open. Easy to setup. If I wanted to test its security i'd have to grab a crowbar and try to break the thing....i dont want to do that thoughI really don't use this for files. Because I'm disabled, I keep my computer and desk out where the TV is so I can switch between interacting with family and working at my desk. I have some medicines and other items that need to be out of reach from toddler grandchildren and this works great for me. No key to worry about locating, I can turn a know and protect my medicine and other things I don't want small ones to get hold of, yet punch a few buttons and everything I need is easily available. My wife ended up getting one because she works from home and can stash work papers away from tiny hands, yet still have them available for herself. Lots of potential uses if you use your imagination, but my favorite feature is the push button code lock. The buttons have a click feel and make a beep as you push them, and an LED light flashes, so no wondering if you hit the button right.
